Ginna Bess begins "Big School"!!
Ginna Bess is so pleased to announce that she is now in KINDERGARTEN!!! She was so thrilled to get to big school for her very first day. I am proud to announce that I survived the day that I have been dreading for a long time. It is so hard to believe that my baby is now a big kid and not a baby. It seems like I blinked and she became five. I did shed some tears (not that she'll ever know this) but I have had a hard time accepting that I do have a big kid. I will try my hardest and with God's help, I will follow Lee's thoughts......We are so blessed that she is healthy, happy, and growing up to be a precious, funny, kind, and excited little girl. We will enjoy every moment God gives us with our little miracle!! I claimed the verse John 14:16 when I was pregnant with Ginna Bess- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another counselor (advocate in some versions) to help you and be with you forever. This verse ministered to me while I was reading, What to Expect when You are Expecting. The book told me that Ginna Bess could open her eyes, distinguish light and dark, taste what I was eating, etc. I was so afraid that in the womb she felt scared and alone and maybe even frightened in the dark. ( I know I am a worrier and a nut) But I became overwhelmed with all these maternal feelings right before I had her and was so scared that she was terrified. The Lord gave me this verse, and I wrote the date and GB's name in my Bible at that moment. I was reminded that no matter what-God loves Ginna Bess MORE than I do, and He will HELP her and be with her at all times and FOREVER!! I really didn't have to worry. All very simple things that I know but WOW-what a precious reminder of God's love for us. Well, again....God knows our heart and every need. Sunday's sermon was on chapter 14 in John. I opened my Bible to John 14 during Joel's sermon and saw my claimed verse for Ginna Bess and the comfort God gave me on that dreaded Sunday before the dreaded Monday of Ginna Bess's first day of school.....a moment I'll never forget......Yes, Lord you love me more than I can express, and you love my baby more than words can express; you are WITH us and HELPING us FOREVER and ALWAYS!! Praise the Lord for HIS many blessings!! May you be reminded to cherish and enjoy every moment HE gives us like I have been reminded to do!! Not worry and being sad about the past but looking forward to the great things HE has prepared for our future!! Ginna Bess loves her sweet teacher, Mrs. Chandler!!!!!!! We've had a great first week in Kindergarten!!!!!!! "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. " Jeremiah 29:11

My bday 2011
My birthday was last week and the older you get the less eventful you want to make it....I guess!! IT's just not as fun to say I'm 31 as it was 13, but thank you, Lord that I have another day and another year and another birthday to celebrate with my precious family and friends!! Mama, Ginna Bess, and I did my favorite things on my birthday. We drank coffee (mom and I did) and ate cinnamon toast for breakfast at my house.
Then we went shopping in Boaz (we did not have enough time to go to Huntsville but I do love the outlets), and ate at the greatest deli in Marshall County, Mill Street Deli. We finished the night with my hubby, inlaws, and dearest friends (Caleb and Kimberly) at El Camino....another family favorite restaurant so we had a fun day doing my fave things: spending time with my loved ones, shopping, and I guess...eating?!?! How else would you want to spend a birthday? Maybe on the beach? Ooooohhhhh...my plans for next year.... the BEACH BIRTHDAY BASH!! We'll see :)
Two days after my birthday, Ginna Bess and I decided to make some cupcakes. Change and time are always two things that sneak up on me and usually hurt my feelings. :( My daddy missed my first bday celebration in 31 years. I also missed hearing my Grandmother sing happy birthday to me for the first time. No matter if she was with me or calling on my birthday, she would always sing!! Holidays and birthdays are so bittersweet without my precious Grandmother and Granddaddy, but what a homecoming celebration will we all have when we are in heaven together. Again, change and time not always so sweet!! We are so blessed and thrilled that my daddy is the new principal at Leroy High School in South Alabama, but with each blessing comes a bit of change.....Daddy had to work and the drive is way too far to make in the middle of the week! So, we made cupcakes as well for his homecoming on Friday. :0
Ginna Bess made me an ELMO cupcake from her. She was obsessed with Elmo as a two year old and 3 years later she still loves Elmo. :)
Happy Birthday, Mama and Welcome Home, D!! We missed you!! Tuesday, July 26, 2011
Caleb and Kimberly say I DO!
Caleb and Kimberly officially tied the knot on July 16th. We had a busy week of festivities but made some
sweet memories!! Congrats to our favorite newly weds!!! We love you!
The best and sweetest flower girl in all the world......just ask her parents. :)
Most of the wedding party at the rehersal dinner.
Flower Girl and Ring Bearer, Brayden, Caleb's nephew.
Brayden is soooooo sweet to GB! WE LOVE BRAYDEN!!
AWWWWWW!!!!!!
This is Will, Caleb's cousin, he asked GB to dance at the beginning of the reception. She was not too sure about it at first. But thought he was a cutie!!!! Oh my! I am not ready for the teenage years!
GB changed into her party outfit. Kimberly had flower girl written in rhinestones on her tanktop and got the precious mini tutu skirt and veil! GB was a princess on Caleb and Kimberly's day! She caught the bouquet and has been discussing plans for HER wedding. Caleb and Lee are afraid that we may have created a wedding monster! :)
GB now refers to Caleb and Kimberly as her aunt and uncle.......now that they are married and in our family she says!
Disney 2011
Disney World was truly magical, and a vacation that I know Ginna Bess will not forget! She and Emma had a blast! My sweet inlaws treated us to this enchanted getaway. I will forever be greatful because it is a vacation I'll always remember. The next trip I will need an appointed photographer. I took pics from my camera and phone. I am sure that I missed some great shots, but I did the best I could with what I had. You'll notice that the pics are out of order, not the best quality on some, and just random on others; however, I tried to capture each moment that I could I need a photographer so that I can just enjoy the trip instead of the stress of worrying about missing a Kodak moment. :)
In control of her emotions.......FINALLY!!!!! :)
We stayed at the FABULOUS SWAN HOTEL!! Such a great place!! :)
The Teacups were a hit! :)
The new addition coming next year close to the DUMBO ride! We must go back and see this soon!
Our first character to meet the best and GREATEST......MICKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you go to Disney and especially have a daughter......the Princess Breakfast/Lunch is a MUST!!!!!!!!
Princess Parade!!
Animal Kingdom was such fun too! The safari ride is amazing!!
Fireworks every night at Epcot!!!
Ginna Bess beat her Daddy at the carnvial game on the Boardwalk and scored a new friend, Chocolate Chip!
Disney is fun, but it makes you very tired!! GB fell asleep at dinner and the ferryboat ride back to the hotel. Check out Daddy!!! He took a little rest too! :) There are some pictures from the pools and water slides at the hotel, but they are missing in action. Will upload those too.....POSSIBLY!
